The New Streetly Youth Orchestra

The New Streetly Youth Orchestra welcomes young musicians from across North Birmingham, Walsall and Lichfield.   Rehearsing every Wednesday evening during term time at Manor Primary School in Streetly the orchestra aims to further the musical education of young musicians of all ages and abilities - improving confidence through regular rehearsal and performance.

The orchestra is privileged to receive regular guidance and support from a team of talented tutors, many of whom have studied music and renowned establishments including the Birmingham Conservatoire. 

All tutors give up their time and energy for free to help lead rehearsals.

No audition is required to become a member, but you should be confident in the sight reading of music on your chosen orchestral instrument.

COVID NOTICE (last updated 14/12/21):  Thank you to everyone who has supported our return to rehearsals this term. We are now on a break for Christmas. We anticipate rehearsals will return from Wednesday 12th January, but will review this nearer the time in line with the latest government guidelines.
