Heart Care is a local medical charity which provides cardiac rehabilitation and after care to people who have suffered a heart attack, undergone heart surgery, surgical intervention or suffer from other coronary heart or lung conditions.
Through a unique programme of monitored physical exercise and expert advice, patients can return to a normal, active life with their confidence restored.
Heart Care is essentially about recovery. Often when someone suffers a heart attack they do not know how to begin their recovery. Many patients express real fear and uncertainty about how much and what they can do. Knowing their limitations, together with a gradual building upon strengths is the first step. Over the course of the 13 week programme, Heart Care aims to rehabilitate the body and re-build confidence. Rehabilitation takes place at Portland Street Unit Walsall.
